The maid of honor, who is greek orthodox, will be "sponsoring" the couple and doing the "crown thingy" (forgot name, sorry) I am too, but have been asked to be best man only because I am of the religion, but I know he has a closer friend who should fill the role but can't because of church rules. - or can he??
