Hmm, the Soron STX is a really heavy reel and would be a tad-bit uncomfortable if you were casting and reeling all-day, the President XT would be lighter and would really help with fatigue. If you use a lot of braid, the Soron STX would be better because of it’s braid-proof spool, which can be used with braid with NO mono backing.

I say,

If you use braid – Soron.
or
If you want an all-metal reel – Soron.

BUT, if you’re not using braid – President XT.
or
You like a lighter weight reel – President XT.
